LONDON – The Natural History Museum – Suchomimus

Suchomimus was a large spinosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 125 to 112 million years ago, primarily in what is now Niger, Africa. It shares similarities with Spinosaurus but was slightly smaller and more specialized for fish-eating.
Suchomimus was about 10–11 meters long, making it smaller than Spinosaurus but still a large theropod.
Its long, crocodile-like snout and conical teeth indicate it was primarily feeding on fish.
Suchomimus had a lower sail or ridge along its back, which might not have been as prominent.
Like Spinosaurus, Suchomimus is thought to have spent a good amount of time in aquatic environments, hunting for fish and other aquatic creatures.
