In 1726, the people of Naxxar welcomed the beloved image of Maria Bambina, also known as the Nativity of Our Lady. From that moment, devotion to Maria Bambina became an important part of the town’s spiritual and cultural life.
For 300 years, this devotion has brought generations together in prayer, celebration, and tradition. The Collegiate Church of Maria Bambina stands at the heart of Naxxar, not only as a place of worship, but also as a symbol of faith, unity, and history.
