NAMUR – La Maison de la Moutarde

La Maison de la Moutarde in Namur tells the story of Bister, one of Belgium’s best-known mustard brands. The company began in 1926, when François Bister bought a mustard recipe, equipment and stock from a local producer. His Impériale mustard soon became a Belgian favourite, easily recognised by its unusual grenade-shaped jar.
During the museum experience, visitors discover the history of mustard making, see historic objects and look directly into the factory, where Bister mustard and sauces are still produced and packed today.
