GRANADA – Alhambra – Mirador de Daraxa

TFrom the Hall of the Ajimeces (Sala de los Ajimeces) you enter into Daraxa’s Mirador (Mirador de Daraxa) through a big pointed arch of mocarabes. There is a poem among the inscriptions that decorate its jambs, as well as a skirting board with black, white and yellow tiles, which is especially beautiful because of the fineness and skill that were needed to make it. The floor is also made of tiles, although it is in very bad condition.
The inside of the mirador is a rectangular little room, with two lateral arches and a double arch at the entrance looking at Daraxa’s Patio, which was closed because of the Emperor’s Chambers (Habitaciones de Carlos V). Above the big windows there are pointed arches of mocarabes, on the decorations of which there are inscriptions praising God and Mohammed V, as well as poems.
