DOUAUMONT – Ossuaire de Douaumont

The Douaumont ossuary (French: L’ossuaire de Douaumont) is a memorial containing the remains of soldiers who died on the battlefield during the Battle of Verdun in World War I. It is located in Douaumont, France, within the Verdun battlefield. It has been designated a ‘nécropole nationale’, or ‘national cemetery’
