The most important part if the festivities is solemn liturgical celebrations which take place on three Sundays after Epiphany Day: on the 19th of January, one Sunday before and after. services take place with a large congestion of believers and tourists and animated by the parish choral and youth groups. All masses end with the sharing of blessed bread which is called “caritin”. It’s generally eaten by believers immediately as a sign of their devotion to the Saint Martyrs.
