On 7september 2004 a new museum was inaugurated ‘ The Maple Leaf ‘ by the representative of His Majesty the King and many Canadian and Polish public figures, the museum includes militaria miniatures scale 1/35, and shows many battlefields of WWII with dioramas on the 1st Polish Armoured Division and the Polish Air Force that our region have freed the maple-leaf museum was also a part of the Polish Museum, 70 uniforms, weapons, equipment, photos, posters… This exceptional museums, unique in Europe, was set up for those who have experienced the war, but especially for our youth, so that they would never forget here that thousands of young soldiers has died for our peace and freedom. We, the Belgian people must finally stand up and show our gratitude to the Canadian-Polish people. May this museum be the harmony between all people and encourage them to draw closer together hand in hand of tolerance and solidarity.
