She was born on May 13, 1717, in Vienna, Austria, and reigned as the Holy Roman Empress and Archduchess of Austria from 1740 until her death on November 29, 1780.
Maria Theresa’s reign lasted for 40 years, making her one of the longest-reigning female rulers in European history.
She was a member of the House of Habsburg, and her reign marked a crucial period for the Habsburg Monarchy, which included Austria, Hungary, Bohemia, and various other territories. Her reign was marked by extensive administrative, military, and economic reforms aimed at strengthening the Habsburg Empire.
