High above the Zillertal valley in Tyrol, the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn carries skiers and sightseers up to the Hintertux Glacier. Since its development in the 1960s, the lift system has steadily modernized, providing fast, weather-resistant access to high-alpine terrain and panoramic views at over 3,000 meters.
Alongside the technology, visitors meet Glacier Bug Luis, the cheerful flea mascot of the glacier. Luis appears on signage and in family areas, helping explain safety rules and glacier facts in a playful way.
