DONOSTIA/SAN SEBASTIAN – Peine del Viento

The Comb of the Wind (Peine del Viento) is a famous sculpture located in Donostia/San Sebastián, Spain. Created by the sculptor Eduardo Chillida and completed in 1976, it consists of three large steel structures embedded in the rocks along the Cantabrian Sea. The curved shapes and holes in the structures allow the wind and waves to interact with the sculpture dynamically, creating a visually and sonically impressive spectacle. The Comb of the Wind has become one of the most recognized icons of the city and is an important tourist and cultural destination.
