Located at Cambo-les-Bains, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Arnaga museum takes place in the heart of a neo-Basque-style villa whose nineteen rooms have been splendidly decorated by the famous French author, Edmond Rostand. Classified as an Historic Monument, the site still stands proudly in the heart of a magnificent Versailles garden facing the Pyrenees, with its flower beds, pergolas and water features. The whole is completed by an English garden with a poetic disorder.
Labeled Musée de France, the Arnaga museum was opened in the 1960s by the municipality to pay tribute to the work of Edmond Rostand. On site, visitors can discover collections of documents, objects or other artistic works that evoke the life of the writer. Since 1991, the site has also housed the César received by Gérard Depardieu for his masterful performance in Cyrano de Bergerac.
