An ancient medieval village, Montrichard is the site of ‘Le Donjon des Aigles’ (The Dungeon of Eagles) a park for birds of prey at the ruins of the old castle keep. Each day, expert handlers give demonstrations of the ancient art of falconry with eagles, condors, hawks, falcons, owls, and vultures. The park demonstrates the physical characteristics, behavior, and flight patterns of various Pyrenean raptors.
