LUXEMBOURG – Pont Adolphe

The Adolphe Bridge, also called the New Bridge (Nei Brëck) was built during the years 1900 to 1903, during the reign of Grand-Duc Adolphe. Foreign countries observed this construction with great interest, as it was, at the time, the biggest stone arch-bridge in the world. Connecting the city centre with the Gare district, the big double-arch has a spread of 85 meters and crosses the Petrusse valley at a height of 42 meters. The total length of the bridge is 153 meters. Coin is available at Sales Lentz.
