If you amble from the Moselpromenade through the winding alleys of the historical old town, you will inevitably come upon the market square – probably the most visited spot on the Terrassenmosel. In the centre of the rectangular market square stands the imposing market fountain dating back to 1906. All around the market square stand half timbered houses and town houses steeped in history, and also Cochem’s Town Hall.
