The Norwegian Maritime Museum shows Norway’s coast and maritime traditions with permanent exhibits about coast culture and maritime history. Their collection of maritime art reflects the perspectives that Norwegian artists have had on the coast and the sea. An impressive multi-screen film by Ivo Caprino gives visitors a panoramic experience of the ocean and sea. The Norwegian Maritime Museum is in a fantastic location, right on the edge of the Oslo Fjord. The museum was built on a naze overlooking the city, called Bygdøynes.The museum building has even won an architectural award.
