LONDON – Sea Life – Breed, Rescue, Protect – Shark

Sharks have lived in our oceans for more than 450 million years! That’s long before dinosaurs first walked the earth. Their brains have evolved to become more intelligent and devoted to their senses – mainly their ability to smell.
There are over 440 species of shark in our oceans and you’ll meet lots of them when you explore SEA LIFE’s ‘Shark Shipwreck’. Sea Life London Aquarium, located on the ground floor of County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames in central London, allows visitors to see it, too. You could come face-to-face with a nurse shark, a black trip reef shark, a sand tiger shark and lots more!
SEA LIFE Trust is actively working with the Shark Trust to campaign against unsustainable shark fishing in EU waters.

The coin is available at Sea Life London Aquarium, National Sea Life Centre Birmingham, Blackpool Sea Life Centre, Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary, Great Yarmouth Sea Life, Manchester Sea Life, Legoland Windsor Park, Brighton Sea Life Centre and SEA LIFE Centre Weymouth.
