Lednice Castle

Lednice castle is a part of Lednicko-valtický area, natural complex reaching almost 300km2. The original 16th century gothic castle was reconstructed and extended in baroque style. Lednice Castle acquired its final aspect in XIX century. The last reconstructions were done between years 1846–1858 in tudor neogothic style. Numerous romantic buildings were constructed in the English park, for example Temple of Apollo, Imperial Temple of three thanks. In 1996 Lednice together with Valtice was registered in the UNESCO World heritage list.
