DINOS ALIVE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE – Gorgosaurus

See what it’s like to stand in the shadows of the largest creatures to have walked the earth! At Dinos Alive, you’ll meet over 80 life-sized specimens from both famous and lesser-known species such as the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Velociraptor, and Suchomimus.
Gorgosaurus was a carnivorous theropod that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in western North America between 76.6 and 75.1 million years ago.
Gorgosaurus means “frightful lizard”. Its remains had been found in the Canadian province of Alberta and possibly in the U.S. state of Montana. It was a bipedal predator or walked on two legs. It had two horn-like protrusions on its head above the eyes.
It had large muscular legs that made it extremely fast, especially for a large animal. Gorgosaurus had a top speed of around 48 kilometers per hour. It was an apex predator that lived in a lush floodplain environment along an inland sea.
The coin is only available for the duration of the exhibition.
