The Historium is a wonderful historical experience attraction, which takes you on a time trip back to the Golden Age. Film-like decors with music and special effects take you to the era of Jan van Eyck, to a day in 1435, when the Flemish master is working on his painting ‘The Virgin and Child with Canon van der Paele’.
The Historium is on the Market Square of Bruges, where the Waterhalle once stood in the Middle Ages. This was the central warehouse for the shipping industry in the thriving trading city. The location has been reconstructed in the attraction and gives your visit an extra dimension. Using an audio guide you will hear over the course of one hour everything about the Golden Age of Bruges while walking through the attraction.
